Freeflow bounced back to winning ways in what was a stylish attacking performance and a very entertaining match as they maintained there unbeaten away record.
Freeflow changed the system and they opened Elim up in the first minute as Manvir cut in from the left and passed the ball to Jag on the edge of the area who in turn fed Ahmed with a one touch pass and Ahmed expertly finished 1:0. This helped Freeflow find their rhythm and they started to produce a cohesive performance with quick one two touch passing aided with movement that was lacking in the previous game against Warriors.
Freeflow scored their second goal as Elim failed to clear a corner from the left and Ali on his debut was on hand to slam the ball home. Jaspreet and Rajvir dominated midfield by competing well and used the ball with quick intelligent passing. Manvir supplied width on the left in Kamel's absence as he tormented the opposition with his close control, movement and clever link up play with Ahmed and Jag.
Ahmed added the third the goal as picked the ball up from deep on the left and showed his power and pace to thrust through three defenders and again finish with composure, 3:0 and a powerful individual solo effort. Manvir then minutes later had his individual moment as he too from the left glided past defenders to race through and slotted the ball home with ease, 4:0 and another fantastic individual expressive goal.
Elim United though did provide a response before half-time in a spell which could have seen them pull at least three goals back as they showed fighting spirit. On four occasions when they managed to have a sight of goal they found Yigit in inspired shot stopping form.
Freeflow started the second half in the same fashion as they continued to pass the ball with a swagger and cutting edge. Jag who twisted, turned and dazzled the left back centred and Rajvir was on hand to simply slot the ball home, 5:0. Jag who had now assisted two of Freeflow's goals and constantly hurt the opposition deserved a goal and got it. Manvir again cut inside from the left and passed to Ahmed who turned well to slide Jag through and he chipped the ball over the goalkeeper, a brilliant move and another lovely goal, 6:0.
At this point the game looked seemingly over as a strong Elim side appeared to have been well beaten. But a brave fight back and poor defending allowed the home team back into game as they scored three goals in five minutes. Two of the goals came from direct balls which were not met and another came from a scrappy corner, 6:3. Freeflow responded by making changes to the personnel and were encouraged to keep the ball. Substitute Jay had an immediate impact as he dribbled well and played some clever passes and it was his assist for Manvir which seemed to relieve the nerves as Manvir again took his chance well and with a killer instinct, 7:3.
However Elim United much to their credit failed to fold and pulled another goal back as once again the away team's defense could have protected their goal better, 7:4 now and a very entertaining match. Freeflow again though responded and in the end made Elim's goals look like consolation efforts as they found their rhythm again. Manvir completed his hat-trick after some lovely inter-play by Rajvir in a tight space Manvir slid the ball under the goalkeeper, 8:4 and another attractive goal.
Freeflow did well to bounce back and produced the kind of attacking football they are capable of against any opposition. The movement and passing was more effective, creative and a joy to watch however after going into a 6:0 lead they slipped into a complacent mode which almost cost them.
